I have an SVT and a Mazda 6. They are comparable in performance. The 6 needs a stiffer suspension to be spot on. Mazda was going for BMW 3 territory with drive and feel as was SVT with the Contour. I think they both did a great job.
The MPS 6 is going for Audi Quattros and the like. It is not an All out performance car. Its a more aggressive blend of luxury and performance with a 29K(or more) price tag.
