It's the Madonna syndrome, where you get older and start losing popularity and you do something a little controversial to get publicity. BET is so pissed that they pulled his video and Fox News has been running the story. Looks like he got the publicity he wanted.
I haven't really seen where Eminem has lost popularity. Every song he does or even is a part of is a hit and every album he puts out goes like 1000000000 times platinum. But yeah, he does like to tstir up stuff because as it has been proven tons of times before it sells. All that aside, when he puts his mind to it he can make some incredibly good and meaningful raps.
