This may be true, or it may not be, but it's certainly flattering to think that way.

The sad part is that the most (or rest) of the world still lives the old way. If we accept the idea that our "tough" childhood made us what we are, what's gonna happen to this country 20 years down the line?

I look at my 10 yo and I think to myself, when I was her age I had responsibilities, I had stuff to do, you know. I dunno, we do what we can, she's kept busy, but that still does not help, she just never gonna have it the way we did. I suppose the world is changing and I'm just slowly becoming an old grump
