The audio controls are actually on the steering column not the wheel itself. The controls don't move at all when turning the steering wheel.
They came on FSVTs with the audiophile option (maybe on the non-SVT Mach audio edition too?). I love the feature. I used to think I was cool until I had an 05 Focus rental a couple weeks back and it had the audio controls on steering column. Now that the SVT is gone they bastardized the parts to the other cars.
