Im thinking of getting the sho y pipe (catless) that everyone is talking about. Does this mod really make that much of a differance? The sho pipe has a 2.25" inlet & 2.5" out. stock svt is 2.25". Also, the sho pipe will go back down to 2.25" to connect with the stock exhaust. I know that removing the cat will help a lot, but the pipe itself Im not sure. How much gain if any can I expect?

If you find the car lacking in bottom end, get it! Out of all the mods I've got, this put the biggest grin on my face right away. Oh btw, I just put my cat back on - noticed no difference from the catless pipe.

I'm a fan of my yodude y-pipe,. but I recommend getting a hi flow cat...you'll find your car is much happiuer with the cat than without it.

I ordered mine from sp motorsports about a week and a half ago. However, the pipe was not in stock. I called joe at sp and he said he finally got it in and it got shipped out yesterday. Should have it monday. If it gets delivered early, I might have it put on the same day. I also ordered the kkm. Can't wait, my first 2 mods. I'll keep everyone posted as soon as their both installed. I'll probably have a shop put on the y; " lack of tools and patience" But I'll put the kkm on.

yea..I think its worth it for the aluminized one...don't really need to spend the bucks for the stainless unless you really want it. worked..ok for me. I had slightly louder exhaust and felt a slight power increase. Worked good until it broke. I have a atx and the sho shop y-pipe wasn't designed for my drivetrain. My engine moves around way too much for the little flex pipe they put on the y pipe. So, the flange that connects to the catback completely broke off of the pipe and I had a very very loud car for a while. I'm either going to get it fixed and sell it or get it configured to work with my car...somehow

All I did was make a bracket to stop the engine pulling on the CAT and transfer any movement to the flexible coupling. I year later and 18,000 miles not problem. Check out the photos:- SHO Y pipe on ATX I can email you a sketch of the bracket I made if you like
