I wanted to make a thread for people who are looking for winter tires and cant decide on what to get.

Contour: 1996 GL 2.5L V6

Mods: None

Tire Size: 195/65/16

TireModel: Wynstar Phaser R21 & Delta Essex

Total Cost: Came with the car

Comments: These arent really snow tires so I cant really give you any info on snow tires. I think they were a all season tires but dont know anything about them. The traction in snow was ok. They did got me though 2 or 3 winter cycles. Currently I'm in the process of looking for winter tires myself.

Contour 95SE,99SE,95LS

Dunlop Graspics - 205/60R15

used one winter on my fathers 95, used one winter on my mothers 99, I used last winter and they performed as well as my high performance all season Dunlop Sport A2's the previous winter when they were half worn

I watched many people get stuck in the loading zone of my building at school and I never once got stuck, only issue was trying to pull into a parking space once that had really packed snow in it

cost was around $60 a tire, got them because that was all that was left when my father desperately needed snow tires one winter because his tires were near bald and it took him 2 hours to get home in the snow

we have a new set now for one car and will most likely get another set or maybe two depending on winter driving needs

snow tires are th eonly way to go in the winter
