Go to Edmunds.com, look around and read up on heel-and-toe downshifting. Then you can downshifft while stopping or slowing all you want.

Interesting, I went and read that article on Edmonts... and I found that I have been doing it for a while now when making turns, I always noticed that if I just let the clutch out in 2nd after a turn then push the gas down, I got a little bucking, and I HATE bucking. So I devised that if I make the turn and push the engine's rpms up a little then let out the clutch it grabs the gear Very smoothly so I continued to do it.. I had no idea that was considered Heel and toe downshifting... I feel accomplished
