I know I am in the wrong area but I would like as many answers and opinions as possible. I am seriously looking into nitrous and want some ideas and prefrences of type wet, dry, so on. Second i would be going with either a 75 or 100 shot to a 00csvt with zero mods right now. The engine just turned 30k and went through the 30k service and runs great. I would add an intake during the install. Third, difficulty in install, I am fairly good mechanically wise, my last car was a 3000gtvr4 that was built up to 450hp with a turbo swap and so on so this sort of thing mechanically doesn't scare me. Forth, safety wise for me and the car, smartly used this shouldn't hurt anything besides maybe my wallet for gas and nitrous. Fifthly, how would you guys set it up if it was your car, for full throttle only have the computer tuned for usage between certain rpms, all the time? I am leaning more towards only at full throttle but opinions will be taken seriously. Last but not least, tuning, how difficult will this be, considering I am in phoenix arizona I am only 15min away from azdyno chip and can make trips out there. I think that is it for now I will check back later to see if there is anything.

thanks
dan

I agree. You're an idiot because: 1) you went so fast on an open road, and 2) you came here and posted about it. And like Horse said, who cares about maxing through 5th. It's meant as an overdrive gear, not a race gear.

1st: If you know you're in the wrong forum, why not post in the Forced Induction where you'll get 10 answers as opposed to my 1?

2nd: 75-100 shot "should" be ok, but would definitely be looking into a limited slip differential, high performance clutch, and a good set of tires. Also, with that high of a shot, you may seriously look into a Venom VCN-2000 kit with a progressive shot.

3rd: If you're that mechanically inclined, then this question shouldn't be an issue. Buy the Venom VCN-2000 kit and it will come with instructions.

4th: Safety shouldn't be an issue as long as it's tuned.

5th: Set it up for full throttle in 2nd gear and off in 5th gear. Progressive Controlled shot starting at 35-50 shot and progressing up to 75-100 shot by mid rpm.

6th: You answered this one yourself. Shouldn't be too difficult to tune as you're minutes away from the best tuners for our cars.

I'm posting to not answer this question because 80% of CEG is serious about putting nitrous on their cars. And 95% of the 80% haven't done it. So go to the top of the search, click, "Search" then type in your words, then select the forced induction forum and guess what, your prayers will be answered. mmmkay? buh bye
