If you will be using a laser printer, then you will have to use a Transparency Film that is for a laser printer. If not, it will melt.
If you did not want to buy a whole pack of this stuff, then you could do the Photoshop work at home and save it to a disk. Then take it up to a print shop or even a Staples, Office Max or Office Depot and ask that the image on the disk be printed to a transparency. Done!
I know that auiotour used some different stuff to do his, I think. He had to get if from a print shop and had them print it for him. Maybe he can chime in and correct me if need be.
this is how I did my original ones. Transparency look good but you need to do a normal piece of paper behind it then the transparency then glue them together, if you park your car in the garage then you won't have much to worry about. The sun warps the transparency horribly bad after a few short months.

How does ink (from an inkjet printer) stand up over time in a situation like this on transparencies?? Besides the possible warping. I have never used transparencies so I wouldn't know. I'm really interested in this. Even if ink is durable I would take it to my work and print it out on a colour laser instead. (GREAT working in electronics retail! )

As with all ink jet printing, it will fade over time. The more eliments you exspose the ink too, the faster it will fade.
As for using a color laser printer... that would be the way to go, because the printer lays a layer of silicon on the document as it exits the fuser. This allows for much longer life of the print.

Ink Jet/Bubble Jet can't print on Transparencies. They can't dry. Trust me. It takes months. I had a transparency for school. that I had printed almost a month before it was due and it never tried. I had to run to kinko's have have it printed.
