All OPP radar has a moving mode. It also has the ability to select for vehicles moving towards them or away from them. They have had this for quite some time now ( dash mounted units ) Now the stalker handhelds and laser I am not too sure about. One thing I do know. Unless something has changed recently that I am not aware of, laser radar is still considered experimental in Ontario. If you get a ticket and fight it, you will win. Most people believe that laser is deadly accurate and in turn undisputable. Not true. Don't forget, they also have calibrated speedometers. So even if they are following you and they don't have radar, you're still screwed. BTW, those dash mounted units also store the patrol speed ( which has a switch that turns the display off ). If the officer in question locks on his radar and shows you the speed, you can ask to see the patrol speed ... and yes they have the right to speed. Its written in the HTA that they can as long as they are "in they performance of their duties" Kind of vague, but arguable. Warning though. This will most likely void any chances of you sweet talking them out of a ticket.

Cheers,
Son of a retired cop ....
