Are the springs on SVT's lower than normal contours?


TCCA member in disguise -99 Sable Wagon (ya thats right) 0-60mph in 10secs....:( dam vulcan ....wish i had a duratec -Hopefully future contour owner

Are you sure, because i'm pretty sure that SVT are lower than normal tour. I own an SE and saw a lot of SVT where i work and they are lower. And it's the springs that gives the height.

Not lower, they r a little heavier possibly lowering them a tad, and they have ground effects that make them look lower.

i believe the consensus is they are same height, different spring rates

They seriously have different spring rates for different trannys?

it's all about matching the springs to the car. auto cars are generally a little heavier therefore requiring slightly beefier springs to compensate

I didn't think the spring rates changed between the E0 and E1. I know they reworked the struts, but...
