Your point being...?

The '6 is made in Flat Rock alongside the new Mustang, but it wasn't designed in Dearborn, nor would I go to a Blue Oval dealership to get one.

You could just as easily say GM makes the Legacy, as it has a stake in Subaru's parent, Fuji Heavy Industries. God forbid I should EVER purchase a GM product of my own free will.

GM only owns 20% of Subie, enough to get a Saab version of the WRX, the 9-2x.

Ford owns 34% of Mazda, not all of it. But the Flat Rock plant is all Ford, so in effect Ford does make the USA Mazda6, but didn't wholly design it. And the Duretch V6 in the 6i is Ford though.

The 2006 Ford Fusion will be a stretched and widened 6, coming in spring '05 (next year!)
