I have loooked around and cannot find anyone who sells bushings alone. I can get the OE control arms new w/ball joints & bushings for $117 & $107, but would rather replace the bushings alone. Help if you can

I did replace mine (complete control arm w/ball joint). Bought it from ford (working there) and as long as i know, you can't have the bushings seperatly.

do you have the two or four bolt arms?
if you have the 2 bolt arms you should be able to get them for $50, try the parts sources listed on the main page or ebay
if you have the four bolt arms that is a pretty good price but they run alot more
and yes you cannot get just the bushings, but if the bushings are gone then it can't be that bad of an idea to replace the ball joints also

Damnit. That is not what I wanted to hear.
Four bolt holes - I work at Firestone and I told the Ford dealer that they were for my personal vehicle, so they gave me an extra price break

117 and 107 isn't bad, ford parts online puts them at $130 and $150
BAT has them for $175 each
I got my set from 95blackse for $105 each plus shipping
they are a pain to change because on the drivers side three bolts are under the trans/ drive shaft and the passanger side has one under the drive shaft
you will need to drop the subframe or move the engine to get them out
moving the engine worked on my zetec but i don't know how much clearence there is on the duratec to do that

On the duratex you have to lower and support the subframe for the driver side.

Joey,
Hit me up if you want any help. I can always lend an extra wrench turning hand. You've got my home number.. and I left a msg with it, again. I will talk to you whenever you call.
Don't do this on your own, if you do it yourself. Why work harder?
