Thanks for the props guys...Pete is right

He sold me a set of '98 ding guards to replace the cheap ugly ones that were on my car. All this because the driver side of my car had some painting done on it before I purchased it. The ding guards had been painted with the door and seemed have been installed before the door was painted. I had pulled them back some last year and it looked like a line in the paint so I gave up until I was ready to do some painting. The olders premium ding guards would look better then what I had so I was going to put them on. I took the passenger side off and was amazed at how much different it looked. Then I did the driver side about a week later and after washing the grime and wax away much to my surprise no lines!!!
Now I'm finally "Knauberized" and there is no turning back

Tip...I pulled the strips off and was able to get the 3M tape off in about 15-20 minutes max and no sore fingers. I used a BONDO brand plastic body filler spreader (3-pack No. 357) from Walmart I think. I used the smallest one of the 3 and kind of used a sawing motion while gently pulling the tap away. Worked awesome...then washed real good and then some "Goo Gone: to get the small bits of glue residue left off.
Thanks again Pete for getting me to do this
