yes amsoil is generally geared for prolonged use. www.amsoil.com u can research it a bit. i use the series 2k 0-30 and change it once a year which tends to be 12-15k miles with filter change and topoff at 6 months. i tested it and they said i could've still continued to use the oil. the series 2k says it can go 35k miles or 1 year-whichever comes first (i dont wanna test it this far). the regular amsoil has lower longetivity compared to the series 2k but still at least double the standard 3k mile rule.
