I dont see there being a legal, drop in LED assembly anytime in the near future that will meet all of the DOT requirements. The doop ins have ~15 LEDS (30 for both lamps), Josch's car probably has over 100, and my car has over 200.
The bulb might be made, but it still wouldnt be perfect for every car. The different reflectors and the different lenses all will twist the light in different ways.
