Cutting a stock shifter gives you a shorter handle. THAT'S IT!

The throw is still the same.


The B&M changes the angle below the fulcrum point to actually make the throw shorter. It also shortens the handle.

If you want to take that a step further the Steeda raises the fulcrum point to allow even a bit more change in angle below the fulcrum point.


Both shorten the actual "throw"


Cutting a stock one only shortens the handle. Just hold the shifter lower. Unless you mean just a "looks" mod.
