Edwards made a few corrections but not enough.

There was not enough time to correct all of those very real "distortions". Bush has been out there repeating those distortions for months. There is a base of people now that believe them simply because the President says so, or he pieces together partial quotes from Kerry which don't seem to make sense. It's 1984.

Kerry said in the first debate that the U.S. reserves the right to unilaterally protect itself from attack, but anything else must meet a Global test. (does the rest of the world agree, as in invading other countries)

The next day Bush says Kerry will have to ask the world for permission to retaliate to attack.
Is that not a distortion?
