well I do this every 10k or so, I'm about to nail 70k. Last time I posted this it was when I hit 60k, now 60k -70k wasnt that bad to be honest, some stuff, wheel cylinders, power window switch, few other things.
Anyways for those with miles on their car, unlike mine what can I expect to fail between 70k-80k? I know every car isnt the same, but just a general idea.
Anwyays not this year but next year March or so I plan to replace the PCV valve/hose, few filters, intake manifold gasket, valve cover gasket ( leaks slighty as it is), replace IAC valve, clean EGR valve, flush coolant, clean A/C high pressure switch.

thanks

When I bought my car, couple of pulleys were bad and a/c didn't work. Only think that's failed since then was a tie rod ball joint and turn signal switch, which I think I broke both. Oo and two o2 sensors, that's it. Everything else was preventative maintenance. That's from about 83k miles to about 115k miles.

Intake manifold gasket?!?

At ~80K my shoes were bad, so I did those and my drums, just to be replaced by discs later. I have had two water pumps, 364 days apart. I did the timing belt with the first w/p at about 90K. Two O2 sensors, filters here and there, plugs, wires, PCV, etc. Just normal stuff.

But for 60-70K I am not of much help since I bought mine at 77K.

As most will tell you, though. You should expect nothing to down right "fail" as long as proper maintanence is done. Things like brakes, struts, wipers, fuel filter, plugs, etc are all part of scheduled maintanence. Some things just wear out after time. At 70k, I wouldn't see anything failing, just maintanence items wearing out.
