So O'Reilly smelled a chance to dis them dirty liberals and let her spin her side of the story. Then you theorize that she was kicked out because she's not a member of the teachers union. Thanks for alleviating my concerns about the legitemacy of the story

I wouldn't be a bit suprised that the Union was looking for any way to get rid of a non union teacher and used their own influence. GO UNION!
the NEA in absolutely NO way seeks to find ways to get rid of non-union teachers. while it's sad that the admin. didn't support her on this (i think they should have) i wouldn't expect the NEA to come rushing to her side if she isn't a member.

i'm sure you don't.... but it's a fact. now i can't speak on a local level, as there are always going to be some people who are on their own power trip or whatever... but i can assure you this is not the NEA's policy. trust me. (and i'm not liberal, pro-union, or any of that....)

I doesn't really surprise me. Being that America is a well known Patriotic Country, once you start getting "really" patriotic some can take it as improper very quickly (Cause not everyone down there is patriotic).
Also, freedom of expression vs. freedom of choice can be blurred. Eg- This picture being put up by someone vs someone feeling they are being forced to look upon a leader they don't support.
Maybe when ppl think of a Pres or Prime or King's Picture on public walls, they may think of Bad rulers like Hitler or Saddam
