i doubt Chrysler will ever put that into production.

Oh? "The ME 4-12 is not a concept car but a prototype. According to Deutsche Press, around 300 Chrysler ME 4-12 will be built each year, largely with carbon, aluminum, and other light-weight metals. Road testing is scheduled for late January, with production rumored to start within two years.

AutoWeek test drove the vehicle in August 2004; there were many differences from the show car, but it is now officially a prototype, headed for production."

The ME-Four12 will eventually be given the green light with proper modifications and stuff. It definitely won't be in two years though. Prototypes never make it to production that fast, especially prototype supercars.

However, I'd rather have a TT Viper SRT for ~$200,000 than a ME-Four12 for $600,000+.

A guy in my area has a TT Viper, a Heffner built car if memory serves. He's run in the 9's with it, but is currently experiencing clutch problems (he's on clutch number 6 if memory serves).

Here's a link to a thread about his TT Viper:

http://www.fbodycentral.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18153

Here's his two current cars:

99 Twin Turbo Viper GTS
927rwhp/1067rwtq @ 17psi
9.72@147.42mph @ 12psi

98 Quicksilver Supra TT - 6 Speed
GT74 Dual BB Single Turbo
756rwhp - Traction issues on the dyno
Re-dynoing soon

LOL, not bad eh?

For that dough I think I would take a MB SL65 AMG instead.

Read more about it here: ME-412

i doubt Chrysler will ever put that into production.

I doubt anyone on CEG will ever consider actually buying one of these cars.

depends how much they would give me for my trade-in.
lets see...$200k less $5k for my csvt leaves me with $195k due. oh yeah, if its a new car, $30k for gas guzzler tax and i believe even more for luxury tax. i wonder if you can trade a house in?

Actually, wire frames of Petunia began in '99. The concept came earlier that year. Prove me wrong. Please. What did happen in less than 2 years was that the first production car rolled out after production was approved by the powers that be in Dearborn.

Please tell me more about your degree in "specialty auto production."

didnt the Panoz Esperante make it to production pretty quick? i believe it did. although some may not consider that a "supercar" based on its price.
