yes, I searched...

So I'm going to try the fix listed in the FAQ regarding rear-suspension noise (my brake cable was taken care of under warranty a while ago). It mentions waterproof grease - does it matter which brand?

I see:
http://www.philwood.com/webcatolog/page18.htm
http://www.motostrano-store.com/towagr.html
http://www.belray.com/consumer/productpages/waterproof.html

Closest thing I could find at autozone find was some lithium grease, but maybe the employee and I are blind (he hadn't heard of something like the products in the urls above). I'm guessing lithium grease won't cut it.

Anyone have experience with this? Recommendations?

You may find marine grease satisfactory. It is also known as boat trailer wheel bearing grease. It is highly resistant to water.

Marine grease is the way to go.

Wal-Mart and auto-parts stores carry marine grease in various tube sizes for a few dollars.
