I think bush didn't do too well in the debate, but I personally don't think it will throw many people's vote the opposite way. I'm pretty sure that everyone I know who likes bush would agree that he didn't do to hot, but I don't think it will change their vote.
I do think that the undecided people will probably be more affected if anyone, and kerry probably did gain some favor because he did a good job debating, but I don't think that one debate will throw the votes very much. And I think that alot can happen so it's certainly not over yet.
So yeah even if bush does worse in the next debate I'll still vote for him because I am not at all fond of kerry's policies and ideas.

Well, I was gone for the weekend, so I missed this one. Just wanted to point out the latest from http://www.electoral-vote.com/Kerry 200 Bush 321 I see Michigan is now tied in the latest polls, and Kerry seems to have lost quite a bit of ground in other states as well... And btw, the RNC ads have already started playing, showing how any politician can go up to a podium and say what everyone wants to hear. Of course, I believe that's what is causing Kerry's downfall, he is far too political, and the American public wants someone who's going to "Kick ass and chew bubblegum, and we're all outta gum"... There still haven't been enough recent polls to really draw any conclusion. The vast majority of the polls particularly in the closer states were completed prior to the debates when, according to every poll I've seen, Kerry gained anywhere from 2 to 8% points. I was looking at another site for the electoral college predictions and they had Kerry ahead -- so it's all a matter of how the statistics are done. Some of the regression on electoral-college looks weird to me, and some of the assumptions on the one I was looking at earlier (which I can't find right now) were equally unusual.
We'll see how it goes. It'll be interesting for sure.

No. but check out www.johnkerry.com and you can probably find it there, just like his plan for Iraq, the economy, etc etc. He puts it on a website but doesn't inform anyone about his 'plans'. I wouldn't put much faith in polls. You have to wonder who gets polled. Has anyone on this site ever been polled? I haven't. But then again, I don't answer the phone at dinner time so that may be why. Karl

The Electoral Vote website actually updates itself constantly. The numbers I posted above included the following new polls in the following states, conducted today (Oct 5th): AL FL MI MN NH NJ NV OH OK PA
Now I agree that polls are generally simply a segment of registered voters, but that's how stats are determined. At least this site takes into account all the current polls from around the country, instead of a singular polling source that could be bias.

Not only does the site update daily with new polls, it also only shows polls from the previous 7 days. It is probably the most accurate polling site on the net currently.
