I've searched and cant seem to find anything about this. i've been told that it is inside the tank...so it seems like a real pain to do...i was wondering if any of you guys have had expierence doing this? thanx

There is a previous post for it as I have seen it before. In answer to your question its not a PITA but you do have to remove the bottom rear seat cushion and I think metal cutting is required once you get the cushion out of the way in order to access the pump since the post 98+ are returnless and have the access cover in a slightly less easy to access position.

Anytime your car needs fixing will gas parts just pay someone else to do it. I don't want to read about you in the news.

When trying to see why my pump wasnt working, we took it out. Not Hard!

Take off bottom seat
Pull back rubber cover and unplug wires.
Take a screwdriver and somewhat-lightly tap the outer ring. I'm not sure which way to turn it, but if you think really hard when you look at it, you'll see it only turns off one way.
Supposed to replace gasket after "disturbing" it at anytime, but I didn't

So it's not hard to replace the fuel pump on are cars?
