How about a Forced Induction? Supercharger, Turbo or Nitrous.

Not sure why you would ONLY want more top end. The 2.5 is inherrently weak in the Torque department. That is one of the reasons the 3.0 conversion is so popular.

Headers is also another great bang-for-the-buck. There is an ongoing Group Purchase that I am sponsoring.

With these cars you can't put a couple hundred bucks into them and expect much better "nombers" as it was put earlier. It takes a small investment to get decent results. I would save up for the 3L, and headers, and a cat-back, and intake, and lightened flywheel, and ....

mods for the svt will work for you car also. They both use the 2.5L engine.

if your looking for more top end hp, then i too would suggest headers and a catback.

SVT parts cheap? Are you checking the classifieds on this site, not just the "for sale" but also doing your own postings in the "wanted" categories? And there are other cdw27 based websites to look for and check out, but those are perhaps less active than this one.

Keep in mind that there were not 100,000 CSVTs made, others are looking for wrecked SVTs to scavenge the same parts you want (I can't recall links for internet parts searches, although some do exist), and the aftermarket did not do backflips with eagerness to produce parts for these cars.
