Ok, guys... here is the update.... first of all, drove the car with no muffler or tailpipe around campus while I am waiting for my Borla to come in..... loud and obnoxious
but the more I pondered it, the more I thought it a waste to spend all that money on a good Borla kit and install it on a broken stud. So, I crawled back underneath the car and pulled the cat completely out to get fresh new studs and nuts installed- will go to a machine shop soon and get this done, as no muffler shop around here seems to want to touch it.
When it all comes down to it, no matter how excited I may get over having a bit better torque, I always want to end up doing things once and doing them right. Simply saying I have a Borla will not do... but saying and knowing that I did quality work seems much better to me. Peace
