...now i've just browsed through some of it, but you guys must be super-duper-rightwing-conservatives if you consider some of what i've seen on his voting record in the links you provided to be far left. but so far he's for abortion rights, against the death penalty, for closing corporate loopholes....i guess that must make him far left.

look i can spend all day looking through this stuff and not find the extreme-left examples you guys keep referring to. how about you save me the trouble and give your specific examples so we have the same discussion points.

so far it looks like all votes not for the republican/conservative branded bills are 'far-left'.

This doesn't come from such a well-trusted news source as CBS or the New York Time. Nevertheless, I'll pretend that you won't try to discredit the Freepers... Kerry's voting record and stances on issues

I'm right of center, but not super duper. Forget the 20 years in senatorial votes. Look no farther than the last debate: Death penalty? I strongly support it. So does Kerry "And I will hunt down and kill the terrorists, wherever they are.â? from the 1st debate, Q2 Kerry response. I'm willing to explore recent history on Kerry's views if it preferable to overlook the past 20 years. But, letâ??s apply the same principals to our perspectives on President Bush.

just a thought.

Kerry's stance ever since 9/11 has been anti-death penalty except in federal cases involving charges of terrorism.

That's an intersting juxtaposition. So he's not in favor of it as applicable to say a rapist murderer, but he is for a terrorist?

I'm confused. That's what I get for trying to understand some of Kerry's ideals.

Hey, I was just telling you what he said, not trying to justify it.

the issue is that some people aren't willing to look at the current. the candidates have the opportunity to speak on what they would do in the CURRENT situation and going forward.

the arena a senator works in and the cic works in are two very different areas. i'm more open-minded than to accept the idea that a "questionable" voting record in the senate would prohibit a candidate from making better informed decisions on a higher level as a cic.

ultimately bush/kerry face the task of convincing voters they're the best pick for president. but that all circles back to the things bush isn't handling very well right now...perception.

i'd say there's a pretty big difference between the two, what's conflicting about that?

What exactly is the difference between the two, BP?

What sigma said.

I see no difference in terms of the outcome and perspective of the victims of such heinous acts. Cold blooded murder is just that; regardless of motive.
