I never said it wasn't OK. Talk about it all you want. The difference is here that Clinton pulled every dodge and hustle while in office over his sexual misbehavior. That doesn't bother me as much as the fact that he bare-faced lied about it while in office and under oath.
I don't think Bush has dodged what he's done in the past. I seem to recall that he's made amends and moved on, instead of still insisting that what he did wasn't wrong or didn't deserve the attention it got.
Ken Star wrote an excellent opinion piece in the WSJ when Clinton's book came out. You might search on it.

Yes, if that particular activity is still being kept up and the offender isn't working to rectify the situation.
Originally posted by BP: kerry may have made some bad decisions in his voting record and bush may have snorted/drank and took too much vacation time.
Absolutely, though most vacations that US presidents take (pick your choice) are working vacations...
Originally posted by BP: as far as apologies....i don't expect either one of them to apologize for the mistakes and miscalculations they've made made. but i do think you bush supporters are putting a lot more weight on kerry's senate record than it's worth.
With Uncle Ted in Kerry's corner, you think I'm making too much out of his voting record?

yep. not that it really matters at this point, but can any of you show me examples (cut and dry) of kerry's extreme left voting record in the senate for the past 4 years? be sure to include any counter proposals he's submitted, we'd like to see the whole story. thanks.
also let's take a look at the uber-conservative issues supported by bush as well. we all know a couple of his proposed constitutional amendments...

This took me 3 minutes to find, 2.5 more than I thought it would:
Ken Starr (McCarthy-Part Deux for Liberals) tells the real version of the story

Wow, this has really got my laughing. You basically just said this:
"A politicians previous stances on the issues is no longer representative of them as soon as they run for President."
And then to equate personal choices with votes which are meant to represent the people simply boggles my mind. You are REALLY grasping at straws here.
Is it just me or has everyone noticed the complete lack of coherent posts from the Kerry supporters as of late? The most I've seen lately from the Kerry people here includes childish name calling, misquotes to prove a point, and overall misinformation. And yet they still believe they have this election won. (boggle)

nope that's what you said. i said exactly what i meant, you guys just wish everyone would think that a person can't change their mind for the better or change their decision based on better information.
it is apparently too much to ask that the President acknowledge and live up to his own errors.

No, you are failing to acknowledge the point...
You are telling us that when a politician has clearly voted far-left in 20 years in the Senate that we cannot use this to determine that he stands far-left.
Saying he simply changed his mind now that he is running for President devalues his contribution to the people he was meant to be representing during his mainstay in the Senate. Thus, if he didn't properly represent his constituants, then how can we trust him to properly represent us?
Keep talking, BP, sooner or later you'll make everyone understand Kerry's stance, however far left it may be.

again and again and again...i've not said any of that at all, you can continue to misquote or misrepresent what i've said but if that makes you feel good about your bush then fine by me.
and i'm still looking for examples of his 'far-left' voting record for the past couple years as examples, i haven't seen it, all i hear is you guys complaining about it. and please be sure to tell the whole story if you ever choose to delve into it. thanks...
all i've said is you can't judge him on his voting record alone because people make mistakes and their views do change no matter how recently or long ago. what's so difficult to understand about that?

Start digging. I've found enough in the Budget/Tax, Military, Agriculture, Gun Issues, Labor and Business categories to have me run SCREAMING from him...
