I realize that it's not a scientific poll but 472,000 is alot of people. It's still early and it was only the first debate. Still plenty of opportunities to blow it for either side.
Online polls mean basically nothing. Only people who are motivated (either love bush or hate bush) will go and spend time voting. Most people who felt moderate didn't even bother. I would take the results there with about a half a pound of salt.
I agree.
I would like to say that I was part of last night's ABC News polling data.
ABC News called me on Tuesday to ask me a few questions, was I planning to watch the debate, and could they call me again after the debate.
Within 5 minutes of the debate, I was called and answered two questions.
Who did I think won the debate? Who would I most likely vote for if the election were held today?
Answered the questions, and that was that.

1) BOFH - that's an awesome quote from Jato! LMAO! 2) I thought the debate was a good one. Honestly, I thought Kerry did a better job than I was expecting. Bush did a pretty good job, but I found his repitition to be distracting and off topic at times. He had some key words that he repeated one too many times. (That's not to say that Kerry didn't have repeated phrases either.) Bush had a good point about "What does this message send to our troops overseas?" Hmmm...gonna have to think about that. My real issues with Bush aren't over the war (any more... but more about what he's going to do to help our country if he's the Prez for 4 more years? I'm going into health care, so I'm biasedly concerned with the 25% of our population that has no or inadequate (me) health care. I'm also concerned about spending 1.8 TRILLION dollars on health care and getting a world-wide ranking of (drum roll please) 37th. Bush talked a lot about spending shittons of money in Iraq, but how effective has it been? How about spending shittons of money on healthcare, and we're still unhealthy! We've gotta get past the "I spend" part and get into "I'm effective" part. Can't wait for the other debates!

i wish Nader would have been on the debate too, how come he as the third choice cant even get on ballots? I hardly call that democratic process, i digress though. I think hands down Kerry took this one, he had Bush pissed off most the night. I cant wait to hear the debate on Domestic Policy. Kerry had some good points about The nuke topic too.

Kerry, the one you say you support, and the democrats are the ones trying to keep Nader off the ballot.

The republicans need to quit this â??FlipFlopâ? crap its starting not to work, and in some cases backfire.
Also, Bush was a little off on some of his facts.
â??We have a 100,000 trainedâ? there own PrimeMinster said last week they only had 50,000 trained, before congress.

Bush is in trouble.
They both threw some "facts" out there that were incorrect. Bush was off on that one but Kerry threw out 2.something billion spent on Iraq and it's actually 1.something billion.
