I was ignorant enough to mix a little bit of dishwashing soap in my Mr Clean AutoDry unit [WRONG!!!]

It started spewing a sticky wax-goo all over my finish, wheels, windows...and it stuck like a greasy cement.

The local detailer is fixing my screwup for $60.00, but I let them talk me into a complete detail for $110.00

Ouch! Lesson learned.

Yeah, it seemed like a pretty good deal, just bad timing. That's the last thing I expected to happen while trying to wash my own car.

After messing up my grille with one of those high power car wash sprayers I've learned my lesson. All you need is Car Soap, Rags, 2 hands and some water.

Good to know I'm not the only one who blatantly disregarded the instructions saying don't use a different soap. I was low on the Mr Clean soap and didn't feel like going to autozone so I mixed in some Zaino soap I had thinking the warnings were just bs to get you to buy THEIR soap...so wrong I was. Buy a new one because you will never get all the goo crap out of that thing now.

I've been using EagleOne (the red stuff) soap in mine since the begining. Never a problem.

If my Soap had a warning I'd have to ask myself, "since when does soap have a warning?"

Does that other stuff has a built in wax or something?

I'll admit I made this mistake also, but I washed mine out by filling the soap container up with hot water and spraying it till all the soap was out. Too easy.

The mistake I didn't make was paying $60 to clean the crap off, because a simple wash did it for me.
