If your mods dictate a jump in injector size, buying the manifold makes good money sense because it's cheaper than buying the injectors separate. If not, it's a waste of money to add fuel your car doesn't need by adding the injectors. The question about build date vs. lower manifold sizing vs. returnless fuel system is one that has yet to be confirmed, but it seems to hold true, at least on the Cougars.
