What are you using for your 0-60 times? Is it safe to assume you are using a g-tech, or do you have other means?

get a mazda mx-3 gs, take out the crappy 1.8 v6, drop in a klze for 1400 bucks.... bamn your in the low 14's.

I have an mx-3 with a KLDE (KL03) mazda mx-6 engine and I should be in the mid to high 14's once I fix my axles, and thats all under 4 GRAND CANADIAN!

I met a guy that bought a 240sx and swapped in a rb20det for around $3k. The rb20 only puts down about 230whp, but it's a lot cheaper than a rb25 or rb26. Or you could just turbo the stock KA engine. Or go with the fox body. If speed is what you want, you want RWD and a big engine/light body.

Using the 2-way averaging method with the G-tech guesstimator.

The sub 9 second 0-80mph is based on my 1/8 mile time of 9.0x at ~82mph.

0-100mph is about 13 flat.
Sub 13's with the G-tech and 0-102mph in 13.9x using the much slower 1/4 averaging method for trap speed. (really like 0-105 in 14)

Yes that puts the acceleration into some elite company. Especially considering it's a lowly NA family 4 door.

Demon,
I saw an argument you had on fastcougar.com. You stated that you would probably be 1/2 second faster on a better track. Ive heard some bad things about KCIR. Where would you be making up that 1/2 second? That'd be pretty wicked to see a 13.4 second N/A pass. Your 2.18 60' times are nothing to snarl at, although you know as well as I do that you could probably get into the 2.0X range, even with street tires. Is KCIR's track so slick that you're spinning like mad in 2nd? I would hope you aren't still spinning into 3rd, as even the turbo guys usually can get some traction by that time. I was just curious as to what the big difference is between KCIR and an above average track.

You need to remember KCIR is at least 1000' and it's always HUMID since it's right next to the river.

Yes the 2.18 was walking it out in 1st and quick shifting to 2nd with some spin in 2nd. No real application of any power until in 2nd gear.
When I tried to give it any power it spun through 1st and 2nd and gave me 2.2's or 2.3's.

If this platform could ever hook there is easily sub 2's in the car.

Also remember that 2.18 is on 25.1-25.3" tires. It's much easier to get low 60' times with smaller tires. (though my DR's are 225/50 and ~25")

I need to pick a nice day this fall and try going to Heartland Park. It's only at 600' and NOT by a river.

As for comparisons. Most people run 1/2 second & a few mph slower here.

For instance - I have yet to see an SRT-4 in the 13's though recently one person with Stage 1+ package (03 IIRC) posted he hit 13.99 @ 99mph.

Most are low to mid 14's. Even with a few bolts ons. For instance a guy on the fast4door site is all pumped about maybe hitting low 14's this fall with his 04 SRT-4 and he has intake, BOV, etc.

There is another guy with a GTP that went 13.88 @ 98 and he has a TON of bolt ons including a 2 step smaller pulley.

Why do you think I went nutz when I smacked a high 13 at nearly 102mph!!! Especially considering the launch consisted of push starting it. Damn touring cars...
