El Az is still there, albiet in a new location. The Riv is still there, but the food and service now suck. Please tell me you can still sit on the patio at the Peanut Barrel and have way to many pitchers on a sunny day with your friends while all the pretty girls walk by!!! Then hit Olga's or Belle's before a binge at the Shark or Ricks? Top Dog or T-Bell on the walk (stumble/crawl)home.

Isn't it about time for Cedarfest? Another long gone tradition.

Can you still ride your Mountain Bike in the Baker Woodlot?

I'm totally havin flashbacks--I think I miss Bilbo's the most. IIRC, Top Dog bit the dust before I left in 96, or just after.

It became Top Dog for a while, but I don't remember when. Way before '96 though. Also, I know Olga's is gone. I was bartender ther before the Riv. Olgas left in about '91, right after Jacobsens closed, iirc. Olgas was awesome, every Friday .99 Long Island Iced Tea. We'd line up 50 glasses at a time, threeb bottles in each hand and go right down the line. Drop the botlles and come back the other way with a coke gun One guy would set and sell, the other would pour. A real production line show, long before the movie Cocktail...

By far the best job I ever had during my college years. Good cash, great women ( Hey, I was a bertender, just out the Marine Corps in a college town), food and drink perks on off days/nights.

I also worked at H&H Mobil as a wrecker driver for about a year and a half. That was serious cash for a college student. We got paid for towing on a commission basis. The more cars we towed, the bigger the check. ELPD or Meridian TWP. would raid an appertment complex and ticket everything without the appropriate pass. At the time we had all of the ELPD business and we split Meridian with another company. If it had a ticket, it was fair game. we'd line up on a side street in our wreckers and wait for the Police to finish ticketing; and then work until 5:00am or the cars were gone. I remember one weekend making over $500.00.

Bilbo's was the best. Even for homecoming years later; Hobbit Stix with dill sauce!!!!!!!
