Is it possible to get the Ford dealer to replace my 2.5L with the 3.0L prepped short block and warranty the work??? I guess my question is, can you tell the difference from the 2.5L block and the shoshop 3.0L block??? What's up with the 2001 3.0L block??? Is it a straight drop in replacement in other words no prepping??? Does anyone know the deliver time of the shoshop prepped block???
Also, has anyone else had their engine replaced at the dealer??? Do they just replace the block??? How much did it cost??? I'm at a cross roads with my car and really need to figure out what to do with it. I don't want to replace the engine with another 2.5L so any suggestions as to getting the 3.0L would greatly be appreciated.
