before you go through all that trouble with repairs, why not check the tires.... i have had the steering wheel vibrate on a 93 taurus and it was the tires.... two tires and balance will be alot cheaper and easier to fix than the mechanical parts.... my tires look to be in good shape.. but upon taking them off and rolling them on the ground one was found to have a buldge in it( an egg, a ball, and other names that people call them)... its where one if the bands in the tire broke and bunched up inside the tire.. i also had one in the rear tire on a contour where you could not see it.. put on spare and the vibration went away so i took it to the tire shop and they pulled it off the rim and you could see inside the tire there was a buldge inside the tire.. it was a firestone that came on the car from ford...
