I usually use the Gumout "xtra". I doubt the stuff you add in the tank cleans as much as we would like but a good example would be a cousins 88 Ranger he bought years ago. It wouldn't idle for long periods of time. Sometimes it would die after a few seconds@idle and other times it would run 3-4 minutes although rough. I gave hime a bottle of the cleaner one day and told him it may help or may not. He came back a few days later and said the truck hadn't quit once since running through his last tank of fuel with the cleaner in it.

Blah.. people and their logics.

Okay.. I use Redline SL-1 with good results.

I get gas all over town from every company. So if there are
gas cleaning agents in them they suer are not enough! LOL

I use Redline SL-1 when my system is getting dirty. I don't
have any before and after pictures, but you will just need
to trust my word on this that some of this stuff works.

That STP stuff does not work very well.

The standard STP cleaner is crap. Like Demon said, the STP complete(or whatever its called) is decent. Techron is very good.

ive had lots of luck with Seafoam, you can get it at most auto parts stores. Ive been using it for quite awhile and have had success every time.
