I have the Dunlops in the 225-50/16 size they are a little bulgy on the E1 rims. I call them my fatties. They are a pretty good tire. Mine are a bit noisy but I think that is due to wear from a few autocrosses. I probably have about 15000 miles on them and there is still a good amount of tread left. My car originally came with 205-55/16 5000s they lasted 40000 miles but they were getting dangerous in the rain. I just got the falkens for my 17s they were a huge deal at $80 a tire shipped (free shipping at the time) from discount tire direct 215-45/17. So far I like them. I think the 225s did give me slightly better launching. The difference in price from 215 to 225 for the falkens was about $13 which is odd since all other tires I was looking at was only a few dollar difference. I haven't driven on the Falkens long enough to say if they are any better or worse than the 5000s but everything I read recommended them.
