so even the automatic wrx will be faster through out the power band?
it just seems the atx would put such a restriction on there hp.
well i really dont plan on racing (her) but if she calls me out i would deff. do it (at a track of cource).

No it won't be.
Any AWD car makes it's ET in the first 100'
You will note a WRX goes low to mid 14's but only at 93-94 mph.
That's not much more power to weight than a stock SVT. Matter of fact a modified SVT can hang or beat one from a roll.
Manual that is too...
Stock for stock the automatic WRX should still always win and especially from a stop. Though it will not be by much in any from a roll

I reiterate my point with real world experience and words from the man himself. A mystique (4 or 6 cyl??) is a different machine than a SVTC, so that is no comparison. An AT especially. You shouldn't take her, but you shouldn't get taken, sadly a driver's race for the most part.

60' times are the main reason the WRX's can run the times that they do.
Word, in my old svt i was able to keep side by side with several off a roll. Even with a torque brake you should beat them, wrx's only pull good times with a huge clutch drop which an auto will not permit.
ps what a piece of sht

Are you saying you beat a WRX with a modded SVT? If so, what mods do you have? because i got slaughtered by two of them and they were both stock! I would love to follow your mod path.
I can't really describe the situation as I would be violating posting rules. But, I can say that an SVT modded should keep up with or beat a WRX. The results will definately be who's the better driver.

I just badly walked a modified WRX on the highway yesterday.
Does that count... I think his face was priceless though.

Ok I will get up on this one I walked a STI with upgraded intercooler downpipe and many more goodies from a 30 mph roll up to end of third. He dynoed 325 wheels on his last pull but from a stop it would take me by long shot but surley would reel him in at high speeds. The car did fare well at the autocross He was first I was second faster he had ten thousand extra in goodies too. I was beat by 200 thousand of a second on the course. But I prevailed on the straightways. Thanks to my power.
You should hang with him if not pull him by third and fourth.
