1. If you use the preouts from the new HU, not the speaker outputs from the built-in amp in the HU then its getting the 1 volt that is looking for. Unless your HU has high volt preouts.

2. Yea, i'll agree with that. Although my old kenwood HU's amp sounded worse than the Kenwood/factory amp combo (I think the factory HU sounded slightly better than using the preouts on the kenwood w/the premium amp).

yes Your preout to the harness does work.. I have done that many times.

Thanks for all the help guys. but i have one more questions where are the bolts to undo the glove box is that the 3-4 ones connected through the silver piece.

FWIW I didn't remove the glove box. With the box open, push the sides inward so they clear the stop, and the box should rotate down. Then you have a gap that you can reach through to mess with the amp.
