When i bought my metra wiring harness for my stereo it cam with a bypass cord for the stock amplifier. but i cant find it . someone said it was behind the dash and i dont really wanna yank out the dash. so does anyone know ne ways that i could get to it without pullin out the dash. the reason i am doin this is becauz when i cut my radio up i think the stock speakers are gunna blow

I kinda followed the connector that was already installed on my car, and it plugged into a connector behind the glovebox, maybe your's connects there also?

You don't have to yank the dash. Just remove the glovebox and you'll see the crappy stock amp. Unhook it and then connect the bypass and slice it to the radio harness.

You dont' have to bypass it but teh Stock amp sounds like crap! 99% of aftermarket decks sound better. You should bypass it! its very easy.

Okay go ahead steeda, lets hear how its done. Becuase mine is not bypassed and if there is a way to make it sound better i would love to hear it.

BTW, i cut two of the speaker wires from the harnesses that werent working and hardwired them together and it all worked out fine.

Im not getting into a arguement with your Retarted ass!

#1 if you don't bypass the amp your sending whatever your deck puts out lets assume 17wrms into a amp thats looking for about a 1volt signal. The amp isn't made to take a high input. Yes it can last or it can blow up i have seen both.

#2 If you bypass the stock amp and run the speakers off of a decent deck say Pioneer or Alpine then it will sound much better than with the stock amp connected.
