I want to know what are the best performance oriented front pads? THese will be used on stock rotors and the car is daily driven, even in rain and snow. I want something that will be OK for the occasional open track, or autocross but be mainloy a street driven car. I was leaning towards the Mintex A/F pads.

search and you will find Bendix pads from Stazi are highly recommended.

I like my A/Fs but they seem to be about as dusty as the OEMs. I also haven't done open track with them, so I can't really speak to that, but I did notice during the bedding procedure that they smoked to high heaven, but never faded on me. I could not say that about my OEM pads.

Lots of good words about the Bendix Titaniums, and they should also be available locally. They are supposedly a lot less dusty... But I haven't tried them.

For what it's worth - I just got back from the IRP SVTOA on-track event. The week before I put on new rotors and Mintex A/F pads from BAT. The result? PURE CRAP! I smoked the front pads entirely in 3 20 minute sessions. Wore all the way down to the backing plate. Most of the friction material stuck to the rotor. I found some Raybestos semi-metallic pads and installed them. At first the car shook pretty bad after the pad replacement (which I expected). After one lap the rotors cleaned themselves up and the brakes worked great. I got in 4 20 minute sessions with no fade and enough pad to drive home. Don't think I'll be purchasing anything Mintex in the near future.

i use the bendix titanium pads from stazi. i tend to be hard on brakes and these have held up much better the the raybestos pads i was using, with very little dusting. in my experience they are biting harder and fade much less.

Definitely not mintex a/f. I had smoke pouring off of them like crazy this weekend. They held up fairly well with decent amount of pad material left, but they're no great stopping pad.

I had to pick up some of the Raybestos pads while I was waiting on my pads from Stazi. They are crap.

The Titaniums bite nice and hard.

Now I need to have my ABS system looked at. The light has been on for a while and the ABS is not working correctly.
