Made it 840 miles back to MI from Atlanta in under 12 hrs.! Averaged 69.6 miles an hour. That is cookin' Made 3 stops total. I'm actually a little more light headed than usual. Was an awesome time and can't wait to do it again. Nice to meet Jato, Blake, BigMoney (Matt), Neil, Grady and see JVT, Simon, Bassen etc. Skarkey and I took a detour on the way down and went through the Tail of the Dragon. Friggin' crazy and he let me drive his 350Z through it. We followed 2 crotch rockets in and stayed on them the entire way. I don't the the 2nd one was very good. The Z is such a spectacular car for factory. We got a little lost and found a better road than TOTD. It's route 60 or Hwy 60. It's about 40 miles long and it is right/left switch backs but they are a little more spaced out so you can go faster. We didn't encounter 1 car on it either. Insane & definately BFE. The TOTD group needs to PM me for directions. Just an awesome trip even though Ken & I got on each others nerves by Sat. night. Thanks again for the stew & RV access Matt and the beers old skool crew. Also if you watched it live on Speed you could see the orange canopy we were under on turn 7. I could type experiences all day but I need sleep.

Werd. Had a grand time.

Todd, you guys shouldn't have left so early. Steve finally let us (Neil and me, Neil was driving, I was the get-'em-slick-so-they-spin easy guy) have the Coloratty for the unofficial-unorganized PLM burnout contest. I'd say we won, at least in the rental-car category. Also first time ever I saw a Jag S-Type smoke 'em up, ditto for a CTS-V, scooter, and a 50cc minibike.

Golf cart wheelies galore to boot. Just your typical jackassery.

I tried to call Neil, but can't get a hold of him. That [censored] Jeanne went straight through Melbourne, so hopefully everybody is ok and his house is still standing.

Steve got back alright as well, pics to follow I'm sure.

A public thanks to JVT for cell phone 'sound bites' from the weekend. I'm glad you all had fun. Not that I doubted you would. Be warned, next year...

No it's in Georgia. We were trying to take 129 into Gainesville. We were supposed to take a quick jog left where the road met 76 and then turn right back on 129. We weren't paying attention I guess and then realized we made a wrong turn. Spotted SR-60 on the map and it showed we could meet back up with 129 and it went straight through the western end of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

Wished I could have witnessed the burnouts but I was beat from the sun and walking all over BFE. I needed sleep hardcore. I can't wait to get my pics back. I'm having them burned to CD. Maybe I can post off Ken's camera. I went film this time around.

i made it home safely as well....at least my drive was a bit shorter than most of y'all's. i left RA sun. morning and was at my office in b'ham 2 hours and 45 minutes later....shaved about 15 minutes off my time getting over there on friday morning; not too shabby.

i'm going to D/L my photos off my memory sticks this morning and see what turned out....if there are any really good ones i'll email 'em to matt (BMR) and see if he can post 'em.

was good to see the old-skool crew again (neil, JV, simon, grady, etc.) and meet some new folks (todras, ken, jato)....i'll be back next year as always....maybe even in the G35c again.
