Not trying to be pissy but I figured I would have had a better response by now. I posted I this thread on the 24th.

There aren't a whole lot of people on here in the NW area to begin with, and not everyone checks the site daily. (You can see how few posts we have compared to some other regions.) Even in your posts under other topic headings, I saw no offers for used parts that people laying around -- and those were read by a larger audience than (primarily) the NW. Also, probably only one or two of the people here in the NW have any kinda "hook-up" for new parts. For anything used, you'd hafta find someone who's put a test pipe in and was positive they were never gonna use their cat again, but still had a non-plugged/non-damaged cat laying around. Again, maybe one, two, or even none.

Check some wholesale places in your area, sometimes they'll sell retail to the general public a bit cheaper than a regular retail outlet. Also, try some wrecking yards. Technically, they are not supposed to sell emissions-related parts (thank you, Imperial Federal Government... ), but you may be able to buy some exhaust parts as "scrap metal."

Specifically what kinda problems is the car having? Is the check engine light on? Have you taken it to AutoZone or somewhere to have the codes read (for free!) if it is? Whatever the symptoms are, you might take it to another shop just to confirm that it is, in fact, a bad cat and not just a mis-diagnosis. It would suck to buy a cat and find out the problem is something else! Good luck!

I hope your chemo goes well too. A guy at my work just went through chemo and radiation treatment for throat cancer, and it looks like that took care of it.
