Hey guys, There is nothing fishy here except the fact that someone with a svt took my (@#$%)!!!! When I showed up to the club on September first the car was up and running strong with the bling bling wheels on. When it was found approximately 4 hours later in burleson texas it was stripped burned and left to die. It had the factory E0 wheels on it. I did not get a chance to look at it for two weeks because the cops had a hold on it. When I did get to look at it it had those factory wheels on it. So it all made since now. Someone with a contour who obviosly could benifit the most. The head rest were taken, which could fit right on another svt, the only aftermarket parts were taken, the system would mount in another tour perfectly, and after taking the wheels they could not move it away to destroy it so thinking fast they probably said screw it and put the only full set of wheels they had on, and towed it away. So anyways I got screwed, I loved my car as you can see, I attended car shows regularly, and what stinks is insurance will only cover up to 1500 on the stereo. If you price the head unit alone the panasonic 909u, it retails for $2000 by itself. I got screwed.

I am still waiting on the settlement, and have not found a suspect.

Oh yeah if anyone knows of a black contour SE owner in dallas texas that is named brian, I suspect he might have done it cause I sold him my factory wheels.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion!!!!

if anyone is just seeing this the repost of the pics are at car pics stolen and burned

I recognize the car. Who did you buy it off of? I met the owner of that car at a CEG meet in Dallas.

I've been doing the girlfriend thing, and she steals all my time, plus everytime I see that there is a meeting I seem to miss it. I really wanted to come and show yall my system. What really stinks is that I had just finished building the system. Last time you saw me I had a pioneer head unit and one amp. I built the box in the pictures that you saw, and used the pieces off my other two boxes to make it look cool. then I also built the false floor and flush mounted the amps too. It took me about two weekends and I had just completed all the work in July. It sucks that there is no replacement value for custom work you do yourself.!!! Well anyways, I am going to lose money on this deal so for all the people that thought I set it up for money your stupid. I loved my car, I just finished the work, and I owe way too much for my car, I will take a loss. I owe $13,900 for my car. It is a 1998 SVT with 50,000 miles. Its not worth $13,900, try more like 10 or 11 thousand. I'll be in the hole. I am going to try to buy another contour svt but if I can't find one I like I will purchase a 2001 Mazda MP3, If I get enough money for my tour. I have a feeling I will be without a car for a while.

Still sounds fishy... They found the car four hours after it was stolen? Thats amazing as it is... but jeeze... youd have to bust some serious work to get all those parts off the car and get the wheels put on... i mean... jeeze... who has a set of contour rims hanging around???? Ill say this... either they(yes THEY) had this planed WAY in advance or well... i wont say it.

Even taking it to a chop shop strait aways... it takes time to get those parts off... you guys know that... i think if i had a air ratchet and an assitent to hand me tools i could have the intake manifolds off in a say 30minutes... then attacking the heads is another story.. i dunno i suppose ive never worked like that before so maybe it goes quicker... but common... four hours?

Dont wheels have serial numbers?

Yer right... if you owe that much you would be silly to have set it up... but... depending on the price for those parts you still could come out ahead...

Anyways.. im not acusing you of ANYTHING... i wanna make that clear... its just WAAAAAAAAAY weird....

I don't think it is that strane that it took only four hours. I do not think that these people wanted to just hang around and take their time when they have a stolen car. I have tons of witnesses that saw me pull up at the club and get out. Including the door man. Then I have witnesses all throughout the night, including when I walked out and found that my car was gone. So anyway you look at it it was done in four hours. I attend the club every weekend, I show up at the same time, and usually leave at the same time. I show up between 11pm and 11:30pm, and usually leave between 3:30 and 4am. So I figure that I walked in greeted my friends, whomever it was saw me enter and figured he had till about 3:30 or 4am to get rid of the car before I reported it stolen. SO i figured he hauled ass to a shop pulled everything off, in three hours with help most mechanics can have a whole car stripped, and we are just talking about intake and heads, its not like they cared about the other parts. They probably just ripped and cut everything loose and unbolted the intake. The whole stereo was made to pull out so that if I wanted to race it I culd get rid of the weight. Anyways so the pull the intake and heads off, assuming they had two lifts swapped wheels, loaded the car up on the trailor, and hauled it off to a abandoned field or something. And thats all it took. Whether you believe that all that happened in four hours or not, it is not the question, it did. I live in arlington, texas, I was in dallas in a club while all this took place. Well planned I'll give them that. But accusing me of doing is stupid. I came to this board for support not critism, I though of all places for support this would be the place but I see this is not the case. I do not think the intake and heads on the car would make up the 4000 dollar difference that I owe, especially with 50,000 miles on them, nice try.
