well, i've finally ordered a y-pipe....a random technology y-pipe/hi-flow cat. should be here either tomorrow or monday, and as soon as i get it installed i'll give my road test impressions and review based on seat-of-the-pants feel. don't have ready access to a dyno right now, but hopefully i can get some HP numbers at some point in the near future.
fwiw, i have a 'before' dyno from the SE-CEG dyno day last december, but any new comparisons would have to be taken with a grain of salt due to different atmospheric conditions, an extra 15k miles on the car, etc. etc. etc.
not sure how many people even know that the RT y-pipe exists, and it *is* a bit pricey compared to SHOshop and other alternatives...but hopefully the results will be positive. the guy that i talked to at RT this morning indicated that it doesn't seem to be a hot seller, but given the lack of publicity, its relatively recent introduction, and the fairly steep price of entry, that's not too surprising. at any rate, my conversation w/ clay was quite enjoyable...his personal ride is an SVT lightning, and he tried to talk the wife into an SVT contour but she balked at the 5 spd idea. :rolleyes:
