Yesterday I had a mechanic friend with a Snap-on Engine Tester read my codes. One of the items the tester showed after running an diagnostic routine was the following:

'TSB 97-19-6 DTC P0446 Reprogram PCM.' This was not stored in memory but showed up after the diagnostic test.

I'm confused.
You stated you had a CEL, which is why you went for the scan. What was the stored CEL code?
You ran a diagnostic test and got something different.
Was this really a DTC? What type of test was being run?
I've never seen a Snap on scanner tell you about a TSB.

I've told you what a DTC P0446 is, but wondering if the scanner was just saying there's a new flash program available from Ford for your ECU.
