Well, after changing and testing a bunch of things I was still having hesitation & bucking when the car was under load at low rpm (eg. starting off in 2nd gear and giving it more that eeaaasssy throttle).
My problem: cracked ceramic on the Autolite APP764 plugs. The mechanic changed to a colder Motorcraft plug (AGSF22FM) citing a buddy with a normal Contour experiencing the same thing more often than normal. Man that was a pain to resolve.
Heads up on those plugs everyone.
