Them ones with the huge body are the harvestmen. i see them all the time in the UP of MI, Theres like a million of the Daddy long leg spiders at my work
All the Daddy Long Legs I have ever seen, usually in basements, attics, garages, sheds, etc, were not the spider variety. Maybe up in MI is different though.
same here. . .
OK, so here's my question, the ones that kind of hobble around, that you picked up as a kid and thought were spiders, THOSE aren't spiders????

Probably not. Just remember the bodies -- the ones with the little round bodies with the 2 little dots for eyes right on top aren't spiders. If they had longer bodies they're the spider kind.

So, you get to 13,000 posts by posting in threads you don't care about. I'll have to try that someday when I don't have a life.

Those are the ones I was thinking about.
And, btw, not every arachnid is a spider. (Is a scorpion a spider?)
So, original poster owes $50.

No see you fail to see the connection. #1 I never bet him. Hes like obsessed with money.
#2 THeres the Harvestman and then the Long legs spider. Them ones with the oval body super long legs not a spider, there the harvestman. The ones with the 2 section body is a spider. I asked if he was talking about a one peice body or a segmented body. he said it has two peices. Which means its obviously a Spider.

You're gonna tell me that you actually had the knowledge to ask him if he was talking about a Daddy-Long-Legs with a "one-piece" or "segmented" body and it actually knew to say it was 2 pieces?
If he knew what the heck the difference was between a segmented and non-segmented Daddy-Long-Legs I can't believe he didn't know that one was a spider and the other one wasn't.

Who's worked up? You're talking smack, so you're getting some back. Isn't that how it goes?
