That is a good idea. I intended to do that with the Escape when I installed ceramic pads to cut the dusting when it was about a month old. It was already too late. The rotors were already rusted in place. I guess that it didn't help that it was a winter built car (built in February).
So I still have that project ahead of me when it is time to replace the pads and rotors again. The rotors already have a lot of wear even though there is not much pad wear. Ford didn't learn from the Contiques.
