It can be pain getting under a car to search for those cracked PCV valves. Man.. what I'd give for an Auto Lift.

WTH are you talking about, a CEL because of a fuel filter? Also if the MAF was dirty he would get PO171 system to bank 1, ONLY, he wouldnt get PO174 as well.
To the first poster ignore that post by TronX, he has no idea what is talking about.
HITMAN!!! SHUT UP! You never learn. You can have both lean codes and just the MAF be dirty. My car has done it, as well as just the 0171. Yes, it can be an intake, exhaust, vacuum leak but more often than not it's a dirty MAF. You have no idea what you're talking about and don't try to get newbies into thinking you know what you're talking about.
To clean MAF, just spray some aerosol non-residue electrical cleaner on the inside of the MAF, making sure you get it through the small hole. You don't even have to remove the MAF from the car to do this and make sure you never open up the MAF. Just remove the filter box.

Thank you. I gave the mechanic a list derived from all of your advice.... He said he was lucky and found a leak in a vacumn hose.

Ha TronX see I [censored] told you it was an intake or vacuum leak.
